Come join in and challenge yourself to an outdoor fitness activity then join in at the local brewery to get together for 6PM dinner afterwords. See Outdoor Activity details below brewery information.  We may have to limit at the Brewery but currently no issue up to 20 people, a final count is needed the Friday before so please respond and comment if attending any of the outdoor events and respond back for the Bluestone brewery dinner at 6 PM.

Option 1: I will lead a Road Cycling ride starting from Owego, NY to Sayre, PA.  We can adjust the intensity and distance, my group will either do 3 serious hills with a Owego leave time at 1:30 PM with distance to be 50 miles or drop to a 1 moderate hill with a Owego leave time of  3:00 PM and 35 mile distance to the brewery.  Those joining the longer Owego rides please comment or contact me so we can schedule a longer ride that fits all.  Our longer group leave time will be set in the afternoon such that we pass by and meet those looking for less (See Option 2) ride and make the brewery dinner at 6:00 pm.  My plan post dinner is to drive back to Owego in my SUV SAG support vehicle, I can fit two other for portage back (first come).

Option 2: Those looking for low impact Road Cycling ride can meet part way at Nichols, NY (Jim's RV) at 5:00 PM.  We will pick you up into the long distance group as we pass by.  Preferably schedule a drop off start and portage back from Brewery post dinner so don't have to ride back after dinner.

For Both Options above if we need to I will ride back with those that don't have portage options back to vehicles - Nichols or Owego.

Other Options:  If we can get some group leaders to do a local hike, trail run, or trail bike ride in the parks that are near the brewery.  Those interested in leading another outdoor fitness event, message me and I will update this event.

Option A) Waverly Glen Park, 85 Moore St, Waverly, NY 14892.

Option B) Two Rivers State Park Recreation Area, Banzhoff Rd, Waverly, NY 14892

Come join my wife and me at our Seneca Lake camp in Hector, N.Y, for a general getaway for one adult TCSC member and up to 3 guests, preferably significant other, direct family, or other club members per weekend.  Please sign up by Friday before event date each week as once I am at the lake my electronic or social media activity becomes extremely limited or "unplugged".

Prefer not to include or bring in non-member friends or non-immediate family due to liability. The adult registrant will be group leader and responsible for any non-member guests. The goal is to provide a nice outdoor time while still making social distancing possible to our direct members and direct family, hence the limited registration each week and guest restrictions.

We usually arrive late Friday afternoon or into the night.  Will be coordinated each week to each registrant, then we leave by Sunday afternoon weather depending. Each week registrant will have the opportunity to stay on site via a tent or at neighboring campground, or local bed and breakfast, or only make it a day trip.

    Exception black out dates include:

    • June 27-28th, Graduation weekend - Most Likely won't be at the lake.
    • July 4-5th, Saving for my family / friends - if no takers may open this date up.
    • August 22nd-23rd, Moving my Son back to Albany -Maybe.

Places to Stay if desired, if not tenting on our site.

    1. Bond Smith Park Campground.  http://smithmemorialpark.weebly.com/
    2. Dunham's Lakeside. http://dunhamslakeside.com/
    3. Grist Iron - Bed and Breakfast. http://gristironbrewing.com/about-the-lodge
    4. Magnolia place - Bed and Breakfast. https://magnoliawelcome.com/
    5. Vineyard Villas.  https://thevineyardvillas.com/
    6. There are many others as well. These are just the ones close that I recommended.

    Things to do:

    1. I usually do a long-distance bike ride each week early morning, for those that want the challenge, then Go out on the boat for either swimming, water skiing,  tubing, or general hanging out. The boat can actually fit up to 10.
    2. Short bike ride along the shoreline or up at the national forest.
    3. Walk and hang out on the Seneca Lake shoreline
    4. Hiking in the Finger Lakes National Forest, just a short trip away. https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/gmfl/home
    5. Hiking at the Watkins Glen Gorge State Park which is just 7 mile away. https://parks.ny.gov/parks/142/
    6. Take a old army  grounds tour or check out their trails at Sampson State Park. https://parks.ny.gov/parks/154/
    7. Go shopping on Saturday at the Windmill farm and craft market in Penn Yan. http://www.thewindmill.com/
    8. Hit some wineries or breweries, currently take out only.
    9. Hang out with some good friends by the camp fire.
    10. There is really a lot to do, even during these times and still maintain distance.

Each weekend can be customized as the registrant desires, allowed to bring up to 3 guests for a total of 4 including the registrant. This is done as best way to control social distancing, so the registrant can chose whom they wish to be near.
