Details

What A fall weekend at an historic lodge on Raquette Lake in the Adirondacks. Activities include lots of great hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing (bring your own equipment).  The Wild Center in Tupper Lake requires online timed-entry reservations; The  Adirondack Scenic Railroad in Thendara is offering rail bike rides as is the Revolution Rail Co. in North Creek; McCauley Mountain is running chair lift rides and offers mountain biking. The Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake is definitely worth a visit as is the nearby Great Camp Sagamore. Please check the Old Forge area website for activities if you are looking for things to do. Or, just kick back, unplug and unwind.

Be sure read the NOTE at the bottom.

When Oct. 7-10, Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples Day weekend 2022. Stay for 3 nights, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for $105 per person; or 2 nights, Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday for $85 per person.

GPS address to the Main Lodge is 540 Antlers Road, Raquette Lake, NY.

Accommodations The following rooms have a toilet, sink and shower:

  • Room #2 (sleeps 2 or 3)
  • Room #3 ( sleeps 4 or 5)
  • Room #4 (sleeps 2)
  • Room #5 (sleeps 2 or 3)
  • Rooms #1 and the Backroom (sleep 2 or 3) and guests will have to use one of the two recently remodeled bathrooms in the hallway.

There are also two half bathrooms in the downstairs with a toilet and sink.  All rooms have single spring beds and bunk beds. You'll need to bring towels, a sleeping bag or sheets and blankets and your own pillow.

All of the rooms, including bedrooms, in the Main Lodge are heated. WiFi is available on the property, but cell service is spotty. AT&T seems to work well. This is an opportunity to unplug and reconnect with nature and friends.

The lodge's common areas are spacious and comfortable. All kitchen and cleaning supplies are provided. We have to clean up and leave the lodge as we found it. We always leave it better!

Cost  $105 for three nights and $85 for two nights. Does not include meals. There are complete kitchen facilities to prepare meals, including refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, crockpots, pots and pans, and utensils, dishes and silverware. Bring your own breakfasts and plan your own lunches.

In the past, we have planned potluck dinners for Saturday and Sunday nights. Bring your choice of beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic and a cooler to keep them cold. Plan your own dinner if you're coming up Friday or we can order takeout or eat out. There has been some interest in going on the dinner cruise on Saturday with Raquette Lake Navigation.

RSVP  Your $30 deposit online or by check reserves your room on a first-come, first-served basis. Each club member must register individually. See the trip policy for information on cancellations. Make your check out to TCSC and mail to Ingrid Jordak, 244 Greenwood Road, Lisle, NY 13797. Deposit is required to reserve your spot.

NOTE! Registration is set at 16 for more comfortable sleeping arrangements. If reservations are full, please add your name to the waitlist.
