Ski Midweek at Okemo with TCSC
It's been a while since the ski club went to Okemo, so let's do it from Sunday to Wednesday, Feb. 23-26, 2025.
About the Mountain
Okemo has southern Vermont's highest vertical drop of 2,200 feet and a trail network that spans five distinct alpine areas offering terrain for skiers and boarders of all types and levels. Mountain stats include:
Trip details
This is a three-night self-drive trip to Ludlow, Vermont. The hotel is about a 10-minute drive to the ski area and five minutes to town. Ludlow has several restaurants and shops as well as a large full-service grocery store.
We'll be staying at the Pointe Hotel at Castle Hill, at the Junction of Routes 103 and 131, Proctorsville, Vermont 05153, in double queen rooms. Three hot breakfasts and one dinner are included. Rooms include a mini fridge, coffee maker and free WiFi. There is ample parking.
The lobby features a large stone wood-burning fireplace, sofas, chairs and a table for relaxing and socializing. There are a game room with a pool table, an indoor pool and a good-sized hot tub.
Lodging
Cost is $360, double occupancy, for three nights lodging, three breakfasts and one dinner. Let the trip leaders know if three or four wish to share a room.
Check in is after 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23; check out is before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Lift Tickets
Okemo accepts Epic passes. Okemo did not provide information on group discounts. If you do not have an Epic pass there are several options on how to obtain lift tickets.
Northeast Day Pass: The best way to save on a lift ticket are to go through Epic at epicpass.com and purchase a 2 or 3 day Northeast day pass. Prices increase throughout the fall, so the sooner you purchase the more you'll save. Choose the 32 resorts option that allows you to use your day pass at other Epic resorts in the Northeast, including Sunapee, NH, which is about an hour away.
The Epic Day Pass also gives purchasers 20% off food and beverage, lessons, and rentals. There also may be a free wax and a 50% discount offered on tuning.
NOTE: Passes are available until sold out.
Epic Buddy Pass: If a fellow trip participant has an Epic pass you can ask if they have Epic Buddy Passes they can share with you.
Buy Online: This is probably the most expensive option. Lift ticket sales are also limited and may not be available when sold out.
Registration, Payments, Refunds
Register on the left. Must be a TCSC member and logged in to your club account to register. Your roommate must register separately on their club account.
Deposit to secure your spot is $100 by check made out to TCSC and must be received within 10 days of signing up. Mail checks to: Doreen Rowe127 Whitestore Road Norwich, NY 13815.
Final payment of $260 is due by Jan. 15, 2025.
If you cancel by Dec. 15, 2024, your deposit will be refunded. No refunds will be made after Jan. 15, 2025. All refunds will be made after conclusion of the trip.
There will be a waitlist. A refund for cancellations after Dec 15, 2024, will be determined if a suitable replacement for your spot can be found on the waitlist.
