BIG SNOW is the only indoor ski area in the United States and is open year round with man-made snow and consistent 28-degree temperature. It has a chair lift and two slopes for skiing and boarding: one side is a smooth groomer and the other side has obstacles. Skiers and boarders use both sides. It's has a blue level pitch but a very short run because you're down in no time. There's a learn-ski-area and a magic carpet lift off to the side, away from the rest of the crowd.
This is a U-drive trip, which is three hours from Binghamton is very easy to get to from the highway and American Dream Mall is located right beside MET Life Stadium in Meadowlands. After you enter Parking Lot "A "with a light blue square background, take your parking ticket to enter the gate, then later pay $5 at the kiosk upon exiting the mall at the glass doors.
BIG SNOW lift tickets can be purchased at a discount on Columbus Weekend for $39.99 for a two-hour time slot instead of the normal, $59.99. Six-day multi tickets are good for a year for $99.99 at $16.67 a pop.

You can come early to look around the expansive mall before bringing in ski gear and even go surfing, to a water park or to an amusement park--all inside the mall!
We'll meet with your ski gear in tow at 12 pm at the front of BIG SNOW, which is the retail area where ski apparel is sold. Have your ID and QR code ready from your online purchase as you enter the ski lodge that includes ski rentals and free lockers that you use your ski card to lock and unlock.
Wait until you're all already to go out on the snow before having your ticket scanned because your two-hour time starts right then.
Non-skiers can peruse the mall and sit in the cafè to watch skiers through a large window.
Afterward we'll eat at the Yard House on the third floor, which has a great view of the ski slope.
